Vegas, baby? Italia, too?

Alright, folks, I thought life was supposed to be less busy when you try for it to be? This is not so!

There is so much I want to blog about. I have a whole list in Evernote of ideas. It’s all a matter of execution. I hope to find an hour or two this weekend.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and brainstorming with my creative partner, Stephanie Rachmeler, to redesign the site and consider the future of where we see this project heading. I have big visions! Prayers would be appreciated.

For now, I just want to lob out an idea. I have been really tossing around the idea of having the very first Catholic Drinkie trip in 2011. After some thought, I am thinking Vegas in September 2011. Would you be interested in this? I do plan to keep costs low so that should be helpful!

I am also considering a trip to Italy in 2012. Who would be interested in that?

Leave me some feedback so I know whether to pursue this or not! My trip would (hopefully) be organized by my very good friend The Catholic Traveler. Check out his site if you haven’t yet.

Cheers!

Why Las Vegas? Are there particular drinking establishments or local drinks that would make it particularly attractive? Breweries, wineries, beautiful churches? I don’t know a whole lot about Las Vegas other than, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I would be much more interested in a trip to Italy, Italian wine, homemade Italian Lemincello, plus beautiful churches and pilgrimage sites. Although that summer would be the summer, I’m ordained a priest and I might be there anyway. I am still open though to Catholic Drinkie trips. I think it’s a great idea. I hope to go on one.

We can make Vegas attractive to Catholics! It would be a fun place to get together. Besides, it’s my birthday that month so I’m thinking about going anyways (never been before) so why not invite all my buddies out there too!

I know I can’t make Italy happen next year since I’m already going to Greece in the Spring, so Italy is a 2012 idea for sure.
