Over the weekend, I took a hit for the team and volunteered at Taste of Atlanta for Hop City, my favorite craft beer store. I ended up pouring beers for Wild Heaven, Atlanta’s newest brewery. It was awesome! I’m a big fan of their beers. They came out about a month ago and I actually enjoyed both of them at Taco Mac with a few friends from the Catholic New Media Celebration: Jeff Nielson, Maria Johnson, Steve Nelson and Greg & Jennifer Willits. Anyways, I digress.
So Taste of Atlanta was a BLAST! Playing bartender was definitely a good time, especially for such a great brand as Wild Heaven. I got to meet the founder, Nick, and he was totally cool. I always love to connect with new people. If you’re in Atlanta, you gotta find these beers. I’ll keep you posted on distribution as that news unfolds. Bottles are expected after the first of the year.
As always, it’s a pleasure to see Atlanta Beer Master (@atlbeermaster) and Atlanta Beer Chick (@atlbeerchick) when out and about among some tasty beers. Reid aka Atlanta Beer Master has a great blog. If you haven’t seen me tweet about it, read it. It’s a great resource and I know I’ve learned a lot from him and he lets me know where I can find some of the beers y’all see me write about!
Here are some photos from the event:
Can’t leave without trying some great food!

Here is the awesome cooler I poured from. I need one of these!

One of their two beers they served – I hear there is another beer coming out in January! So excited!
This was a great beer. It has coffee in it – I could drink it all day long even though it’s like 8.2% alcohol!
The aftermath of the beers being poured next to my station.
I tracked down some Southern Tier Pumking at Taco Mac that night. It was definitely pumpkin! (What’s a weekend without a trip to Taco Mac?)
It was an awesome day indeed. Cheers!
